Augie Butterfly

It happened today. We finally captured the rare, elusive Augie butterfly on camera.

And we're pretty sure it's the cutest butterfly we've ever seen.

Pumpkin Hunting

Last weekend we made our second annual trek to the pumpkin patch out at Sweet Berry Farm. And while last year's visit was fun, this year was much more entertaining as our curious two year old was able to take in more of the activities and the excitement. 

Augie's second cousin Aubrey and her parents recently relocated back to Austin, so we thought it would be fun for the girls to join in on the local tradition. Though it was slightly warmer than we would have all preferred, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the toddlers were adequately worn out for the drive back home. I think it's safe to say that it was a successful trip yet again this year!

Ah, Fall

There are signs all around the house that Fall is finally here. Hopefully a cool front this weekend will bring seasonal temperatures to better fit the mood. 

Of course tis the season to decorate pumpkins! August and I couldn't wait for our annual pumpkin patch pilgrimage to get our hands dirty, so we picked up a little orange guy on one of our HEB trips a couple of weeks ago. A certain someone is oh so proud of 'Augie's Punkin'

Zoo Day

A couple of weekends ago, Kevin's family invited us down to San Antonio for our niece's baptism. While we were in town, we thought it would be fun to take August to the zoo. My mom and sister took him to the Fort Worth Zoo while we were in Paris, but we'd never had the chance to take him ourselves. And the outing just so happened to work with the majority of the family's schedule, so Kevin's parents treated us all to a rare family outing. While the selection of animals was a bit of a disappointment, the day itself was one great big Gupton family adventure. Oh and we learned that August's favorite animal is the Okapi...who knew!?!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch there was more fun playtime with the cousins.
