Home on the Range
A couple of weekends ago, we traveled up to my extended family's ranch outside of Waco for a big barn dance. There was a wedding renewal ceremony, a crawfish boil, a live band, a hayride, and plenty of general merriment to go around. We only manage to see my extended family once a year, but when we do, it is a grand old time. Memories from the ranch are some of the fondest from my 32 years, I'm so excited to be able to make new ones with Kevin and my boys.

Week Five
Week five, better known as recovery week around here (yes, we're still playing catch up with posts around here). My mom came to the rescue and stayed a few days when I recovered from the infamous stomach bug. Baby Otis' reflux officially reared it's miserable head. August is getting quite adept at entertaining himself and helping out around the house. Did he really just turn 3?
And of course all good recovery efforts should involve a delicious homemade strawberry cake. This dessert thing is definitely going to become a weekly affair.
