Snow Day!

We woke up Friday morning to a beautiful coating of snow (and ice) all over the ground and the houses. Not being our first rodeo, we knew we needed to jump out of bed and take advantage of the beautiful cold stuff before it transformed to slush. So, we quickly bundled up and headed across the street to the park for a play. The dogs made a new buddy and galloped several frisky laps around the grounds. We let August out of the stroller for his first snowy interaction, but he was way more entertained with his furry sisters than he was with the wet, white stuff. So, we loaded back up and headed down the trail a bit further to check out the creatures of Barton Springs. We spotted a few squirrels and a behemoth of a turtle, but all of the other local inhabitants must have been taking shelter. Once Augie's nose and eyes started running, and his cheeks turned the shade of kool-aid, we knew it was time to head back in. Just as we made it back to the house, the sun peeked through the clouds and began it's job of melting away the morning blanket. We're all so glad we were able to play in the winter wonderland even for just a while.
