the Arctic Club

While in Seattle, we stayed at the historic Arctic Club hotel. Originally built in 1916 as a private club for successful members of the Klondike Gold Rush. It's most recognized as the building with the walrus heads lining the exterior of the 3rd floor. The hotel boasts several nods to it's founders throughout the decor. Some of the original collars and top hats are on display at the front desk, and the members photos are found everywhere through the 9-story hotel, including on the room keys. It was by far the most luxurious place August has stayed in his 15 months of life, we're not sure how well he's going to cope with having to return to his Ikea crib at home.
