San Diego

A couple of weeks ago, Kevin had a work conference to attend in San Diego. After finding out that it was a week long event, held at a resort on the beach, it took approximately one second to decide that the boys and I would tag along. There was a slight hesitation about traveling with a seven-week old Otis, for seven days, but I am oh so glad that we did. It ended up being about as perfect of a vacation as I could have dreamt. I can confidently say that all four of us had a wonderful week, and were obviously just so relaxed to be on vacation together.
The amenities were great. The weather was perfectly Californian...chilly in the mornings and evenings, but beautiful by mid-day. The private beach was pristine with plenty of welcoming friends to share it with. There were two resident seals happy to be fed and observed every day, and families of ducks that tolerated a toddlers curiosity. A giant sandy playground and quaint little village market were within walking distance. There were frozen yogurt dates and outings for the most desirable coffee that money can buy. There were a couple of other big adventures around town, but those deserve entire posts of their own. All in all, it was a fantastic trip. And in all honesty, none of us were that eager to give up our new found lifestyle for the daily grind back in Austin.  But thankfully we have a million photos to reminisce in the meantime. Enjoy a few snapshots of our stay...
