Before we even knew that August was a figment of our imagination, Kevin and I were pretty intrigued with the concept of balance bikes for toddlers. When we were in San Francisco, two little rugrats weaved their running bikes all around us as we stood on their ramped speedway. Naturally when we found out that we were going to have our own toddler someday, we knew that a balance bike would be in our future. After much online research and opinion hunting, we narrowed our choice down to the Kinderbike Laufrad Mini, or the Strider st-3, as these are the two smallest bikes on the market for young toddlers like our not-so-giant August. We just received it this past Wednesday and could not wait to get him on it for a test drive. Right now we're a bit more enthusiastic about the purchase than August is, but I'm quite confidant that one of these days he'll take off and won't look back.
